Project/Casting Description:
Non Air Television Pilot Presentation that will be shot in HD and it is Non-Union, but Union actors can apply since it's non air and will change to Union when show is picked up. These roles require female-to-female intimacy similar what you see on Network TV and not Cable TV and again you must be 100% comfortable without reservation, hesitation, or hang-ups at all if booked. This series is packed with rich parts about intriguing people and great material so rarely available for women of color. Will allow actors to show great range and depth and build quality acting credits. This is not your average indie project that you devote your time to and nothing happens with it. This one will go far.
Although the intentions of the project will be shot as a TV pilot, it will also be promoted as a Low- Budget Feature Film for film festivals and online and DVD distribution. Need actors who can be flexible and offer a long-term commitment (2- 6 months beyond shoot) to make themselves available for more filming. Goal is financial compensation for “series” (not pilot) shooting, as well as, SAG-AFTRA signatory status under a new media agreement for all future episodes. Though, at times she can be hot-tempered, aggressive and intense, but she is basically a kind-hearted romantic and devoted to those she loves. She is not masculine, but she’s not feminine either. IMPORTANT NOTE: Must be comfortable female-to-female intimacy (i. e. same-sex kissing, caressing, stroking, making out pretend sex, but no nudity.) She’s earnest, intelligent, and warm-hearted and the strength and glue for her family and friends. She has an adopted daughter and she works as a recording engineer and as a singer and songwriter. IMPORTANT NOTE: Must be comfortable female-to-female intimacy (i. e. same-sex kissing, caressing, stroking, making out pretend sex, but no nudity.) Kemp is handsomely pretty with lots of sex appeal who can be masculine sometimes, but cocky and fearless all the time. She is intelligent and well educated and she will often act a bit urban in mannerisms and speech, but also the comic relief. She has had both male and female love interests and then she falls for James and then she becomes pregnant. The loving couple and soon to be parents are excited for their unborn child.
